Grocery stores in Boquete (and the big shop in David)

In town (Bajo Boquete)

• Super Barú, Calle 4a Sur: a full supermarket, mapped as open 7am to 10pm every day.
• Romero: another full supermarket in town, with a second store on the road to Alto Boquete.
• Casa Bruña (Supermercado Bruña), Calle 1ra Sur: in the centre. The local vans to the outlying areas leave from outside it.

Organic and health food

Orgánica, in the Los Establos plaza off Avenida Central, sells organic food, vegan cheeses and milks, gluten-free flours, bulk nuts and legumes, and natural toiletries. Shoppers note imports can be pricey. Its listed opening hours differ between sources, so check before you go.

On the road to David

Along the David–Boquete road through Alto Boquete are the second Romero store and the Alto Dorado supermarket, handy if you live outside the centre.

The big shop in David

Many residents drive to David, about 35 minutes away, for a bigger choice. It has several larger Super Barú stores, Super 99, Rey and Romero, and Federal Mall, with more than 300 stores, a food court and a cinema.
